About

I believe that design is in everything we see on a day to day basis. Everything had some sort of thought put into it when it was created, especially the design process.
In my work, I begin with just a sketch, usually on the margins of my homework. After awhile, I often end up realizing, "Hey! I could crochet that!" That's when I usually pull out  my sketch book and begin refining the doodle. I like to figure out the shapes of what each part would look like and plot the stitch counts in my head. After the sketch is complete, I'll either take the traditional or digital way of picking colors: colored pencils or Photoshop  It's very rare that you'll actually see a crocheter's design process before the pattern is released, so I believe the way I share this information with my viewers is unique in itself.
My design process has come a long way. My previous works don't have the same feel as the ones from today do. Today, I am working with various shapes and trying to mimic the way an animal looks with a cartoon-y twist. I feel like now they have more dimension and bring a smile to people's faces.
